Our Families Favorite Quote

As a being of power, intelligence, and the master of his own thoughts, a man holds the key to every situation, to make his life what he chooses it to be. When he discovers the divine power within his soul, he can lead his life to a God-like nature. If one dreams lofly dreams, so shall he become. There is magic in the way one thinks. If we expect the worst, we will get the worst. If we expect the best, we will recieve the best. If we train our minds to have faith in God and ourselves, we are using one of the great laws of life. If we think and live righteously, happiness will find its place in our lives. It is amazing when we expect the best how forces are set in motion which cause the best to materialize. Our thoughts, more than circumstances determine the coarse of our lives. Outward circumstances do not determine the coarse of our lives as much as the thoughts that habitually occupy our minds. These thoughts carve their impression on our faces, in our hearts, and on the tablet of our eternal souls.

Children are worth it!!!

10 more weeks and we will have our 4th child:) I am getting so so excited! I enjoy each one of my children in a similar but different way. They all bring just the right joy that I need every single day. Jade is an incredible help in all ways to me, I love having a girl first. She helps from cleaning to watching Tyler for me and well just anything I need at the moment I know that I can count on her. Jordyn brings peace and harmony to everyone. Tyler does not go a day without telling me he loves me and gives me many hugs and kisses. He also makes sure I get my exercise:) My children are just such a joy to me. I feel so blessed to have them in my life and just don't want to have them grow up ever!!!! I love to slow life down and just watch them day to day. Thank goodness for children:)

Back to Blogging:)

So our computer has had issues and so I have not had one for a long time, I have just been using my ipod to do simple things but it is not a good way to blog!!! So It is working for now,(crossing my fingers) we need to just breakdown and buy a new one haha! So in one of my last post, I talked about seeing Paul Cardall in concert, it was a beautiful night. Justin and I really enjoyed it. He played all of our favoirte songs. okay well there isn't much of his art that I don't like lol!

Alot has changed since I last blogged, I am starting a Day Care in my home, which I am still in the process of getting licenced for.....the Saturday before I started taking a few kids I found out that I was pregnant with our 4th!!!! I couldn't believe it, nor could Justin! So here is the story-I wasn't feeling so well and Jusin was working at Weber Fire on a Saturday and I was out and about with the kids and all of a sudden I thought man the last time I felt like this I was pregnant! But I am not pregnant! So then I went on with the day and it kept coming to me to just go get a test so finally I thoguht well I will just go to family dollar and get one that doesn't cost so much:) So I did and I came home and took it right away, and it came positive ahhhhh! I couldn't believe it. So I had Jade read the test and asked her what she thought it meant and she looked at me and said "You are pregnant?" I couldn't believe it! So I thought well it is a cheap one I will just go to walmart and get a "Good" one! haha well I took it asap and it was positive!!!! So much for trying to save money on the test, right!!! So I then needed to tell Justin ( in the past I have always waited for him to be hear but with this one I was so sure that I wasn't preg. that I thought I would just take the test to rule it out!) so I took a pic of the test and sent it to him on his phone, called him and he said whos is that, is that yours???? I then started laughing so hard that I could hardly speak, I said yup it sure is:) So I have been pregn for 19 weeks now and I am starting to feel a little better, the first part was very difficult, especially starting up day care. I ended up putting the licensing on hold but now I am feeling more up to it. I am totally excited to get everything done, it actually is a very big process. I will feel so good once I am finished:)

First Day of School for Jordyn

Jordyn started Kindergarten. She has been waiting for this day for 3 years!(since Jade has been in school) She gets to go in the afternoon, her teacher is Mrs. Larson and from what I have seen she is truly an incredible teacher, it sure takes a lot of work to be a Kindergarten teacher. Here is a picture of her first day. It is now November when I am getting around to posting this and so she has been going to school for awhile and really likes it. Her best friend is a boy named Kael, he is adorable, Jordyn says that they run around and just play. I have had a chance to help out in her class every Monday and see that Jordyn is always checking up on Kael making sure he is okay, I think that it is so sweet of her. She is a very tender, sweet girl. She is the best reader in her class, and has been and outstanding student so far this year. We are very proud of her.

Jon Schmidt Christmas concert

From the time I was 12 years old I have made it a tradition to go to Michael McLean's "The Forgotten Carols" Well he used to come and perform for 2 days(a Tuesday night and wed. night), now he just comes one night which is Wed night. So that causes a problem for the Justin Elder family!!!! Justin has drill with North Logan and Weber on Wed. nights so that means no chance for us...so I then noticed that Jon Schmidt was coming to Logan and so we went to that and I bought the DVD performance of The Forgotten Carols to watch at home with the whole family. It was last Saturday that we went to see Jon Schmidt, we like to say he is an ADD,comic musician!!! We laughed and had a great time. We also went with Brad and Holly to dinner at Aggie's and then to the concert. When we got to the concert we ran into Lori and Eric Derr's family and Grandma Dupree so we were able to sit with them and enjoy the concert together with some of our extended family. In fact the first song that I have playing on the blog is Jon and his Cello player, they performed this song that night, let me just tell ya I was loving life!!!:)I could listen to there music all day and never get bored of it.
